Join the first Peaks and Professor hike of Spring quarter and discover the breathtaking beauty of a moderate 3.6-mile loop trail near Los Angeles, California.


We will hike at the Glendale Peak via Riverside, Hogback, and Mount Hollywood Loop located in Los Angeles, California, and potentially enjoy views of the ocean and Getty museum on a clear day.


Richard Wong is an Assistant Adjunct Professor in Mathematics.  His research is in algebraic topology and representation theory, and he likes to think about mathematics both geometrically and algebraically. Some of his non-math hobbies include bird-watching, playing board games and D&D, playing disc golf and ultimate frisbee, and hanging out with his two dogs, Vasti and Ernie. Nicholas Hu (he/him) is a graduate student in Mathematics. He was a TA for Dr. Wong's multivariable calculus classes, and his research is in partial differential equations and numerical analysis.


Sign ups are open now here and will close at 5 PM on 4/17. Those chosen to hike with us on this trip will be selected and emailed on 4/17, shortly after the form closes.
