Join us for a beautiful 4.1 mile hike in Temescal Canyon. This hike is moderately challenging as it is 4.1 miles with around 1,100 feet of elevation gain with several water crossings and a waterfall. The rainfall has made the hike very green and lush this year with lots of flowers in bloom along with views of the ocean.
Joining on this hike is Lizet Casillas a space physics pHD student at UCLA studying the sun and advanced heliophysics. She is currently a research assistant in the Earth, Planetary, and Space Sciences department and was a TA for the course EPS Sci 101, focusing on different forms of sustainability relating to energy. She is full of fun facts about the sun and if any of her research topics are of interest, feel free to ask her about them on our hike!
