Join us on a beautiful 5.2 mile hike through Griffith Park! We'll hike through the eastern Santa Monica Mountains, with sweeping views of the Hollywood sign, downtown Los Angeles, and even the Pacific Ocean & Catalina Island if it's a clear day. The route starts at a coffee shop and hits both one of the park's highest points and Griffith Observatory. It follows an established trail in the park with ~1000 ft total elevation gain.
Joining us on the hike will be Michael Manville, Professor and Chair of Urban Planning. He has consulted for organizations such as environmental groups and the United Nations alongside extensive research experience in urban topics such as public and private transportation and its effects on city dynamics.
