5/24 Betty B. Dearing Trail With Andrew Verstein:

Join us for an 8.1 mile hike with 1,500 feet of elevation in Fryman Canyon Park with Law School Professor Andrew Verstein. This will be one of the more challenging hikes that Peaks and Professors has recently done so please come prepared with adequate shoes, water, and a snack or two. We will be checking before everyone leaves that we all have around 2 liters of water before leaving De Neve Turnaround to ensure everyone is well hydrated on the trail. We will be meeting at De Neve Turnaround at 7:45am and plan on returning back to UCLA around 1:00, expecting this hike to take around 4 hours to complete. Joining us will be Andrew Verstein a very accomplished Law Professor that is currently teaching at UCLA Law primarily studying market abuse, corporate governance, and the functional role of corporations. He went to Law School at Yale, so if you have any pre-law questions feel free to ask!
