Join us for a beautiful 3.0-mile hike in Solstice Canyon, located in the Santa Monica Mountains near Malibu! This will be a moderately difficult hike with amazing views, mostly shaded paths, and a relaxing creekside trail. Along the way, you’ll see Malibu’s oldest stone building, a small waterfall, and the ruins of historic homes, including a once-grand mansion. This is a great chance to get outside, enjoy nature, and take a break before/during midterms!

We will be joined by Lecturers Maria Falbo and Filippo Lugnan from UCLA’s Italian Department. Professor Falbo has taught Italian both at UCLA and in Italy through the LLP/Erasmus Program. Filippo is an Italian instructor, UCLA piano student, and president of the UCLA Italian Club.
