Jenny Sun '20

One of the original founders, Jenny served as the External Vice President from Fall Quarter 2017 up until Spring Quarter 2020. Jenny was a Physiological Science major and an avid sleep enthusiast born in Los Angeles. On days she’s not hiking, calls to nature are silenced by her calls to nap. In her free time, Jenny can also be found staring in awe of A1 sunsets, holding her stance in the GA section of concerts, and belting out her favorite contemporary R&B tunes.

One of the original founders, Amanda served as the Internal Vice President from Fall Quarter 2017 up until Spring Quarter 2020. Amanda was a Biology major and professional blood donor while at UCLA. Originally from Sacramento, Amanda spends her spare time enjoying nature or growing her own fruits and vegetables. She loves cooking up too much Thai food and trying new recipes. Her days are mostly spent dreaming of traveling; something she started by backpacking SEAsia!

Olivia Lopez

Olivia grew up in the central coast of California: a place where it’s always sunny & 75, sandwiched between green hilltops and ocean views. Olivia spends countless evenings taking in beautiful sunsets followed by nights of stargazing. Of course hiking is another favorite past time, mostly because she feels tall for once when reaching the peak! As a social butterfly and Psychobio major, Olivia does her best to evenly allocate her time between friends, adventures, and academics.

David Weitz '19

David was a computer science student here at UCLA who served as a trip lead and resident driver for Peaks. He is a hacker, not a slacker, so you’ll often find him in digital mode with 1s and 0s racing across his eyes. For leisure, David gives up file paths and megabytes for hiking paths and delicious bites. His various skills include the ability to count to 10 in less than 10 seconds. If you catch him on a hike, he’ll probably be sporting the cap of his favorite team, the San Francisco Giants!

Erin Hall

Raised on the sunny beaches of SoCal, Erin is a Redondo Beach native who loves the ocean, but still has no idea how to surf. As a second-year mechanical engineering student, she spends most of her time working on robotics projects and commanding a tiny army of killer robots as a technical lead of UCLA’s BattleBots program. When she’s not cramming for classes, you can find her eating waffles, watching terrible 80’s movies, or listening to indie and psychedelic rock for hours.

Humza Ali Khan

Humza is a Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics student and self-proclaimed lab junkie. When he’s not yelling at his computer for not processing his data, he loves to explore LA. Humza is incredibly passionate about mentorship in science, making and eating good food, and photography. He loves Kurt Vonnegut, his friends and family, jazz, and, of course, hiking.
