End: April 28th, 2024 2:00 pm
Join us for some walking and bird watching on this 6 mile hike! Between the canyons and ridges we will get to see some of the valleys and oceans of Los Angeles. This hike averages 3 hours of walking time, so be sure to bring water, snacks and sun protection!
Joining us on the hike will be Professor Morgan Tingley! In addition to teaching LS40 (a statistics course designed for life science majors) Dr. Tingley also conducts research investigating ecological impacts of anthropogenic changes on ecological communities. Most recently his lab has investigated how bird species were affected by and dependent on burned habitats. As an ornithologist Dr. Tingley is always eager to share knowledge on birds, so bring your binoculars!
Trip Lead: Jade Bentley
