Join us on a 2.8-mile loop trail near West Hollywood in Wattles Garden Park. This is a moderate trail with a little incline that’s rewarded with breathtaking views of the city, a diverse array of plants and vegetation, and some fun people-watching.
Hiking with us will be Liz Koslov, an Assistant Professor of Urban Planning and Environment and Sustainability at UCLA. She studies the social dimensions of climate change, questions of environmental and climate justice, and how cities are adapting to effects such as extreme weather and sea-level rise. Her research focuses on the response of coastal communities to rising seas, and what happens to the natural land as people move away. Join us on this hike if you’re interested in any of these topics or just want to enjoy the outdoors with your fellow peers!
