Join us for a hike up to Inspiration Point in Will Rogers State Park. This is about a 2.1 mile easy loop trail with 324 feet of elevation gain. The hike may be muddy, so be prepared to get dirty. Make sure to bring water, sunscreen, and snacks and then get ready to trek through beautiful chaparral with fantastic views of the Pacific Ocean and the Santa Monica Mountains.
Hiking with us will be professor Andrew Stewart (and his two kids), an associate professor in UCLA's Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences department. Professor Stewart teaches Physical Oceanography, and studies ocean circulation and its interaction with the atmosphere and sea ice. He's from Scotland, and his favorite ocean current is by far the Antarctic Circumpolar Current. We can't wait to hit the trail with you all!
